APPLICATIONS

  • High pressures at relatively low speed
  • For fluids over a wide viscosity range and for gases
  • Rotary unions at high pressure
  • Robot axes
  • Pipe joints
  • Injection units
  • Rotary actuators
  • Rotary lift cylinders
  • Valve spindles
  • Swivels

CHARACTERISTICS

  • Pressure-activated seal energization
  • Clamping of the flange in the housing prevents unwanted relative motion
  • Ideal for slow rotary, oscillating and helical motion
  • Dry running possible
  • Low coefficient of friction
  • Non-sensitive to pressure peaks
  • No chatter (stick-slip) at low speed
  • Does not stick to the mating surface after prolonged shutdown
  • Available for any diameter up to 2000 mm

TEMPERATURE RANGE

From -54 to +200 °C (temporarily +260 °C)

but dependent on the material of the seal and the O-ring in each case.

MATERIALS

IDG seal material

  • 82B (water hydraulics)
  • 32B (pneumatics)
  • 36B

O-ring elastomer

  • FKM

Special materials are used at low temperatures
