Company foundation
IDG-Dichtungstechnik GmbH was founded in Stuttgart, Germany, in 1971. Right from the start the company concentrated on the design, development, manufacture and sale of seals and corresponding construction elements.
New location
Expansion was so quick the company soon had to move to new premises in Wendlingen on the Neckar River. Apart from developing customised seals of PTFE compounds, the company began developing a portfolio of standard product series.
The MANOY® brand name
The results of the company’s work in developing its own materials have been grouped under the label of MANOY® seals.
Expansion
In early 1984 the company again moved to new premises, this time to Heinkelstraße in Kirchheim unter Teck, to accommodate the growth in its workforce.
First product catalogue
Seals with PTFE compounds continued their story of success. The market demanded ever more challenging solutions. The first IDG construction and ordering manual was presented to the market in 1990. This 350-page-thick catalogue soon became a reference manual for PTFE sealing technology.
New managing director
Hans-Ulrich von Dungen has led the company as managing director since 2003.
New edition of the product catalogue
A completely new version in german and english followed in 2011
