The controller decides (alone or together with others) about the purposes and means for the processing of personal data (e.g. names, contact details, etc.).
Withdrawing your consent to data processing
Some data processing operations can only be undertaken with your express consent. You may withdraw your granted consent at any time. There are no form requirements for withdrawing your consent and a simple email is sufficient. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the legitimacy of the data processing which occurred prior to the withdrawal.
Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
As the data subject, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority in the event of a violation of data protection law. The competent supervisory authority for matters of data protection is the state data protection commissioner (Landesdatenschutzbeauftragter) of the German state in which our company has its registered office. Please click the following link for a list of the data protection commissioners and their contact details: https://www.bfdi.bund.de/DE/Infothek/Anschriften_Links/anschriften_links-node.html.
Right to data portability
You have the right to demand that data which are automatically processed based on your consent or in the fulfilment of a contract are provided to you or to third parties in a machine-readable format. If you request that the data is provided directly to another controller, this will only be done where technically feasible.
Right of access, rectification, blocking, erasure
Under the applicable legal provisions, you have the right to demand, at any time, access to your stored personal data (free of charge) and information about their origin and recipient and the purpose of the data processing; you also have the right (where appropriate) to demand rectification, blocking or erasure of these data. With regard to this or if you have other questions on the matter of personal data, you may contact us at any time. You can find our contact details in the legal notice section (Imprint).
SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons and in order to protect confidential content that you submit to us as the website operator, our website uses SSL/TLS encryption. This is done to prevent third parties from reading the data you transmit to this website. If your connection is encrypted, your browser’s address bar will display “https://” and the browser status bar will show a padlock symbol.
Server log files
The website provider uses server log files to collect and store information which is automatically transmitted to us by your browser. These are:
- Browser type and browser version
- Your operating system
- Referrer URL
- Hostname of the accessing computer
- Time of the server request
- IP address
These data are not combined with data from other data sources. The data processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, which allows the processing of data for the performance of a contract or to take steps prior to entering into a contract.
Contact form
Data submitted through contact forms are stored together with your contact details for the purpose of processing your inquiry and to be ready for any subsequent questions. These data will not be passed on except with your consent.
The data you enter in the contact form are processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You may withdraw your granted consent at any time. There are no form requirements for withdrawing your consent and a simple email is sufficient. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the legitimacy of the data processing which occurred prior to the withdrawal.
Data submitted via the contact form remain with us until you request the erasure, withdraw your consent to their storage or there is no longer any need for storing the data. This has no effect on mandatory provisions of the law, in particular with regard to statutory retention periods.
YouTube
Our website uses YouTube plugins to integrate and display video content. The video portal is operated by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA.
Calling up a webpage which includes an integrated YouTube plugin will establish a connection to the servers of YouTube. YouTube will therefore learn which of our webpages you have visited.
If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube will be enabled to attribute your surfing activities directly to your personal profile. You can avoid this by first logging out from your account.
The use of YouTube serves to improve the attractiveness of our online presence. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
For details on the handling of user data, please refer to the YouTube privacy policy under: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en&gl=en.
Cookies
This website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files which are stored on your device (computer/smartphone/tablet) by your web browser. Cookies help us to make our website more user-friendly, more effective and more secure.
Some cookies are called “session cookies”. Session cookies are automatically deleted once the browser session is concluded. Other cookies however remain on your device until you delete them yourself. These cookies help us to recognise you when you return to our website.
Modern web browsers allow you to monitor, restrict or prevent the placing of cookies. Many web browsers can be configured to delete cookies automatically once the programme is closed. Deactivating cookies can have the consequence of limiting the functionality of our website.
Cookies which are required to carry out electronic communication or to provide certain functions you request (e.g. shopping cart) are placed in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. As the operator of this website, we have a legitimate interest in storing cookies to enable us to optimise the provision of our services and to eliminate any technical malfunctions. The placement of other cookies (e.g. for analytical purposes) is regulated separately in this data privacy statement.
Use of script libraries (Google Web Fonts)
We use script and font libraries on this website to ensure the correct and aesthetically pleasing presentation of our content by the various different browsers, such as Google Web Fonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/). In order to avoid repeatedly having to re-load data, Google Web Fonts will be loaded into the cache of your browser. If your browser does not support Google Web Fonts or if it prevents this access, the contents will be shown in the standard font.
Calling up script or font libraries will automatically establish a connection to the operator of the library. It is theoretically possible – though currently unclear whether or not this would happen and for which purposes – that the operators of these libraries collect data.
For the data privacy policy of the library operator Google, please visit: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/
Use of Adobe Typekit
We use Adobe Typekit for the visual design of our website. Typekit is a service provided by Adobe Systems Software Ireland Ltd., which grants us access to a font library. In order to integrate the fonts used by us, your browser has to establish a connection to the Adobe server in the USA and download the font required for our website. This will tell Adobe that our website has been accessed from your IP address. For further information on Adobe Typekit, please refer to the Adobe privacy notice: www.adobe.com/privacy/typekit.html
Use of Google Maps
This website uses the Google Maps API for the visual display of geographical information. When using Google maps, Google also collects, processes and uses data relating to the use of the map functions by the visitors. For further information on Google’s data processing practices, please refer to the Google privacy policy. Under this link, you will also be able to access and change your personal data privacy settings.

Google Analytics
Our website uses functions of the web analytics provider Google Analytics. The web analytics services are provided by Google LLC 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
Google Analytics uses “cookies”. Cookies are small web files stored by your web browser on your device (computer, smartphone, tablet) to enable your use of websites. The information generated by the cookie about your use of our website is transferred to and stored on a Google server. These servers are generally located in the USA.
Google Analytics cookies are placed in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. As the operator of this website, we have a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise our website and also (if applicable) our advertising.
IP anonymization
We use Google Analytics in combination with the IP anonymization function. It ensures that, if you are located in a Member State of the European Union or any other state party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, Google will truncate your IP address before it is transferred to the USA. There may be exceptional cases where Google will send the full IP address to a US server and truncate it there. Google will use this information at our behest in order to analyse your use of the website, prepare reports about website activities and to provide us with other services relating to website and Internet use. The IP address transferred by Google Analytics is not combined with other Google data.
Browser Plugin
You can prevent your browser from placing cookies, but this may limit some of the functionality of our website. You can also prevent the collection of data relating to your website use (including your IP address) and the subsequent processing by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.
Objecting to the collection of data
You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by clicking the following link. This will cause the placement of an opt-out cookie which will prevent the collection of your data during future visits to our website: Deactivate Google Analytics.
For details relating to Google Analytics handling of user data, please consult the Google data privacy notice: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en.
Commissioned data processing
In order to fully comply with the statutory data protection requirements, we have concluded a data processor agreement with Google.
Demographics and Google Analytics
Our website uses the Google Analytics “Demographics” feature. It enables the creation of reports containing information on the age, gender and interests of the page users. These data originate from Google’s interest-specific advertising and user data provided by third-party providers. It is impossible to attribute these data to a specific person. You can deactivate this function at any time. You can do this through the settings in your Google account or by issuing a blanket objection to the use of your data by Google Analytics as described under “Objecting to the collection of data”.
Changes to our data privacy provisions
We reserve the right to adapt this data privacy statement in order to bring it in line with current legal requirements or to ensure the data privacy statement reflects changes to our services, for example when introducing new services. Your next visit will then be subject to the new data privacy statement.
